#WellbeingWednesday is Back With The #MentalHealthHeroes
#WellbeingWednesday is back again for another term, and this time, our Mental Health Heroes are here to save the day! The feedback we received from our revamped Wellbeing Monsters term was fantastic, so it was only fitting that we gave our heroes the same make-over treatment, and as ever, some BRAND NEW resources to go along with them.
What can we expect from this term?
We’re glad you asked! Our Mental Health Heroes are studying in the Wellbeing Academy, and each hero possesses their own unique power to promote a healthy mindset and positive wellbeing. There are 11 in total, all being taught by the academy mistress. But calamity strikes when the heroes are alerted to ‘The Negatron‘ – a cloud of negative energy that needs to be defeated. Up step our Mental Health Heroes of course, here to defeat it using their unique mental health ability.
- Each week you will be able to view an amazing animation and Comic style flipbook which introduces your class to the story and that week’s hero. This term’s flipbooks are extra special, as you’ll get to read through unique comics for each hero!
- Remember, Week 1 will be completely FREE to download.
- This terms animations will be completely FREE to view on YouTube and Vimeo for the first time!
- To support your teaching with activities for your class, you will also be able to download a weekly teaching guide, display resources, and task cards.
- To follow on from your teaching, children can complete the weekly journal page and colouring activity.
- NEW to this term are Collectible Cards and Mini Activity Booklets that can be printed out and created.
The team have been giving their all to make this the biggest and best Wellbeing Wednesday to date! We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on.
Why is this term’s Wellbeing Wednesday more important than ever?
The importance of children’s wellbeing has never been so great. The beginning of this year was hard to digest for many children, teachers, and parents alike, with the UK and many other countries moving into more lockdowns and the forced closure of schools. The impact was clear, school children missed their friends, and this had an undoubted effect on their mental health. It’s so important to build these relationships and positive mindsets. Wellbeing Wednesday aims to be a part of this. We want each week to help rebuild those wellbeing skills, and to teach new ones too.
How do I get involved?
As always, Wellbeing Wednesday is exclusive for our ULTIMATE members, but this year, we are making a HUGE change. For the first time, ALL animations will be made COMPLETELY FREE to view on both YouTube and Vimeo.
All resources for Week one are also completely FREE to download, which is a great opportunity to try out our Wellbeing scheme if you haven’t before.
You will still need an Ultimate membership to download the resources, so make sure to head on over to http://www.tpet.co.uk/memberships and grab your membership if you haven’t already!
Want to use Wellbeing Wednesday in your whole school? That couldn’t be easier either! If you know how many teachers will require a membership, then just send an email over to firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for a quote on a whole school membership. We will generate one for you as soon as possible so you can get ready for Week 1.
Activities are released every Sunday ready to be used the following Wednesday. Remember to download early to be ready! If you’ve missed a week, don’t worry. The resources will not expire, just find the week you need at our wellbeing hub.
